The questions people actually ask
- When exactly do I start paying?
- When your 10th paid order comes in. Not on a date, not after a trial week — after ten real orders, however long that takes you.
- Do orders I take in cash or Venmo count?
- Only once you mark them paid. Recording an order you haven’t been paid for yet costs you nothing — we’d rather you track everything than keep some of it off the books.
- Why do you want a card before I open my shop?
- So billing is something that already happened, instead of something that has to happen in the middle of a sale. Your shop never stops taking orders over a payment issue with us. Nothing is charged until your tenth paid order.
- Do you take a percentage of my sales?
- No. Not one cent. Stripe charges you their standard card processing, the same as anywhere, and that money goes to Stripe. We add nothing on top.
- What if I have a slow month?
- It’s $21 a month whether you sell one thing or a hundred. If a season goes quiet, cancel from your settings in one click and come back when you’re baking again — your site and your customer list are still here.
- What happens to my site if I cancel?
- It goes offline and your data stays put. Nothing is deleted, and turning it back on is one click. It’s your business, not ours.
